What this tool measures
Structured data turns what is on your page into something a search engine can read without guessing. Instead of hoping it infers where the price sits, who wrote the article or which sentence answers a question, you state it.
The tool covers five types: Organization, Article, Product, Service and FAQPage. Required fields are filled for you: Article sets dateModified equal to datePublished, Product prints availability as InStock, Service sets the area served to Türkiye.
The extra information field changes meaning with the type. For Article, line one is the author and line two the date. For Product, a price like 4500 TRY. For FAQPage, one “Question | Answer” per line. For Organization, a line with digits becomes the phone number and lines starting with http become social profiles.
How to use it
- 1
Decide what the page actually is
A blog post is an Article, a service description is a Service, something you sell is a Product. Organization usually belongs on the homepage once, not repeated on every page.
- 2
Fill the extra field for that type
FAQPage needs at least one “Question | Answer” line or the tool stops with an error. Leaving the Article author and date blank raises a warning and defaults the date to today.
- 3
Add the output to the page
The first box is wrapped in a script tag, the second is raw JSON. Use the raw JSON if you generate the block in code, the wrapped version if you paste by hand.
- 4
Match the markup to visible text
Prices, dates and question text in the schema must also appear on the page. Marking up invisible content breaks Google's structured data policy and costs you the rich result.
- 5
Validate with the Rich Results Test
Run the page through search.google.com/test/rich-results. A few days later, open the rich results report in Search Console to confirm Google picked the markup up.
When to use it
- When a blog post should show its author and date in search results.
- To get price and availability into the result line of product pages.
- To turn an FAQ section into something AI answers can read and quote.
- When declaring your corporate identity (name, logo, phone, social profiles) to Google in one block.
Reading the result
On a plain HTML site
The script block goes inside <head> or just before </body>; both are valid. A page may carry several schema blocks, but never write the same type twice.
Next.js App Router
Take the raw JSON and render it inside the page component as <script type="application/ld+json" dangerouslySetInnerHTML={{ __html: JSON.stringify(data) }} />. The next/script component is unnecessary here, since this block is data rather than an executed script.
WordPress
Your SEO plugin may already emit Organization and Article schema. Check the page source first and fill the plugin's fields if it does. If not, the block goes before </head> in header.php or into a custom HTML block on the page.
Watch the dates on Article
The output writes dateModified identical to datePublished. Change it by hand whenever you edit the piece; a modification date signals freshness to readers and to Google alike.
Set expectations for FAQPage
Since 2023 Google has limited FAQ rich results to a narrow set of sites. The markup still earns its place: AI answers and search assistants read the question and answer structure straight from this block.
Questions about the Schema (JSON-LD) Generator
Google recommends JSON-LD, which is why the tool only produces it. Microdata is woven into the HTML and breaks every time the template changes; JSON-LD sits in one block, independent of the design.
Structured data is not a direct ranking signal. It unlocks rich result features such as stars, price and dates, which make your result occupy more space and attract more clicks.
Yes. A blog post can hold Article and BreadcrumbList, a service page Service and FAQPage. The only rule is that each one must correspond to something genuinely on the page.
Put “4500 TRY” in the extra field. Dots and commas are stripped and TL is converted to TRY. Update the schema whenever the price changes: a page showing 4,900 while the schema says 4,500 makes Google discard the markup.
